The IJC is a non-profit research institute dedicated to advancing the understanding of leukemia and related disorders. The postdoc position is associated with a project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, focusing on the role of oncogenic fusion proteins induced by chromosomal translocations on the epigenome, chromatin organization, and gene expression associated with leukemogenesis. The research will employ multi-omics experimental and computational approaches to unravel the biochemical properties of proteins and their impact on genome organization and gene expression, offering potential applications for treating hematological malignancies.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Biomedical Sciences or similar.
  • Strong background in cellular and molecular biology.
  • Previous experience in genome editing, chromatin conformation capture, and related tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Organized, independent, proactive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
  • Research experience outside of Spain is a plus.

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be responsible for conducting independent research, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, publishing and presenting research findings, mentoring and supervising students, and contributing to grant writing and research proposal development. The position offers a 3-year full-time contract with a competitive salary based on the candidate’s experience.
