Ph.D. Positions in Machine Learning: CWI (Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica) invites applications for three full-time 4-year Ph.D. positions in the Stochastics research group. The focus of the positions is on “Machine Learning for Combatting Cybercrime.” Successful candidates will contribute to the development of new models, methods, and machine learning techniques to address the growing threat of cybercrime.

Eligibility/Qualification:Master’s degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics (or a related discipline), knowledge of data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Strong implementation skills are essential.
Job Description:Develop new models and machine learning techniques for handling cybercrime activities, evaluate their effectiveness, and contribute to the Stochastics research group. Academic freedom in choosing specific topics within the broader range of intrusion-detection systems, active learning, neural networks, and more.
