Scholarship Description:

PhD Position in Electrochemical Synthesis at LIKAT Rostock

The PhD project aims to pioneer electrochemical valorization of renewable feedstocks, focusing on utilizing agricultural waste for synthetic chemistry. The project involves synthesis and characterization of electrocatalysts, process development in electrochemical flow reactors, and product analysis using chromatographic techniques. The candidate will gain a fundamental understanding of the relationship between performance, catalyst structure, and reaction conditions.

Eligibility: Candidates should have a Master’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering with a background in electrochemistry, technical chemistry, and/or organic chemistry. Specialized knowledge or practical experience in electrosynthesis, electroanalytical chemistry, or chromatographic methods is advantageous.
