Job Description:
Postdoctoral Research Position – Chloroplast Proteostasis in Plants
The successful candidate will contribute to the group’s research on the synergistic interaction between chaperones and proteases in chloroplasts. The focus includes studying the DNAJ/HSP70 chaperone system, CLP protease, and the chloroplast unfolded protein response (cpUPR). Specific objectives involve identifying substrates of DNAJ proteins, understanding CLPC adaptor specificity, and unveiling components of the cpUPR signaling pathway.
Candidates: Motivated candidates with a solid background in plant molecular biology and biochemistry are sought. Previous experience in abiotic stress, chaperones, proteases, or signaling is desirable. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational and management skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently and in teams.
