Research Associate/Fellow -Fixed term: Nottingham University Business School invites applications for the position of Research Associate/Fellow to contribute to a MRC-funded study led by Professor Stephen Timmons. The study focuses on identifying and targeting modifiable inflammatory factors underlying higher risk of frailty in individuals experiencing deprivation. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting participants to qualitative interviews and focus groups from deprived communities/excluded groups. This part-time position requires expertise in qualitative research methods, data analysis, and practical experience in participant recruitment.

Salary: £30,487 to £40,521 per annum, pro rata (minimum £33,966 with relevant PhD)
Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD (or close to completion)
- Experience in qualitative research methods and theories
- Practical experience in recruiting participants, preferably from deprived communities
- Ability to travel locally
Job Description: The Research Associate/Fellow will play a key role in the MRC-funded study, leading the recruitment of participants to qualitative interviews and focus groups. Responsibilities include planning and conducting work using qualitative methodologies, analyzing qualitative data, and writing up findings for publication. The role offers the opportunity to use initiative and creativity to identify areas for research, develop research methods, and extend the research portfolio.
