Job Description:

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Tumor-Stroma Communication

The Tumor-Stroma Communication group focuses on studying the intricate connections between cancer cells and the stroma within tumors, composed of cells or extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins. Our research explores how the interaction between tumor cells and stroma influences tumor development. We have made significant contributions to understanding how tumor cells alter the behavior of surrounding cells, leading to dysregulation in signaling pathways and immunosuppression. Additionally, we investigate the impact of tumor cells on endothelial cell senescence, enhancing metastasis. The group also explores aspects contributing to cancer patient mortality, such as cancer cachexia, with a focus on inflammation in white adipose tissue.
