The candidate will be involved in developing new analytical approaches for mass spectrometry, with a focus on atmospheric pressure liquid extraction, and applying them to study living biosystems. Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field completed within the last 5 years.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with mass spectrometry, including imaging, instrument development, method development, atmospheric pressure mass spectrometry, and omics.
- Proficiency in mass spectral data analysis (Matlab, Python, R, etc.).
- Knowledge of biological systems and biochemistry.
- Demonstrated research productivity through publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced research environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with new analytical tools for understanding biological systems.
- The appointment length is up to 24 months with the potential for extension, subject to performance and funding availability.
