Postdoctoral Research Fellow: The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Refugee Health and Epidemiology. This role, aligned with the UTS 2027 Strategy commitment to social justice, focuses on understanding the health of refugees in Australia. The research team collaborates with refugee communities, settlement service providers, and the government to translate research into actionable strategies for improving refugee health.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or related discipline.
  • Experience in research project management and ethics applications.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., R, SAS, Stata, Python).
  • Track record of contributing to/first authoring peer-reviewed publications.

Job Description: As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will:

  • Conduct sophisticated data analysis of linked data related to refugee health.
  • Manage datasets and collaborate on requests and analyses.
  • Contribute to the supervision of higher degree research students.
  • Undertake internationally competitive research and publish outcomes.
  • Manage research projects, including supervision of research assistants.
  • Apply for external research grants and fellowships.
  • Participate in school, faculty, and university community activities.

Remuneration/Salary: Base Salary Range: $117,420 to $138,973 pa (Level B)

This position is full-time and appointment will be fixed-term until June 2026.
