Postdoc in Soft Electronics: Linköping University (LiU) invites applications for the position of Postdoc in Soft Electronics for Controlled Drug Delivery. The successful candidate will join the Soft Electronics group at the Department of Science and Technology, Campus Norrköping, contributing to cutting-edge research in the field of soft and deformable electronic systems, with a focus on controlled drug delivery.

Designation: Postdoc

Research Area: The postdoc will be part of the Soft Electronics group, led by Senior Associate Prof. Klas Tybrandt, within the Laboratory of Organic Electronics (LOE). The research encompasses the development of composite materials, design concepts, and devices for soft and deformable electronic systems, with specific interests in bioelectronics, neural interfaces, stretchable semiconductors, energy harvesting/storage, and actuators.

Eligibility/Qualification: To be qualified for this postdoc position, candidates must hold a doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. The degree should have been awarded no later than the point at which LiU makes its decision to employ the candidate. A background in materials science, biotechnology, material chemistry, chemistry, or a related field is desirable. Microfabrication and drug delivery experiences are considered merits. Proficiency in English is essential for this role.

Job Description:

Postdoc in Soft Electronics for Controlled Drug Delivery

As a postdoc in Soft Electronics, you will primarily conduct research, with a possibility of up to 20% teaching duties. The focus of the role is to develop innovative soft electronic technology for controlled drug delivery in vivo. This involves the entire process from device concept development to design, microfabrication, and characterization. Collaboration with external partners and active participation in the broader soft bioelectronics effort is expected.

Salary and Employment Benefits: This is a temporary two-year contract with the possibility of extension up to a total maximum of three years.
