PhD Studentship: Stereoselective Synthesis of Mechanically Chiral Molecules for Sensing and Catalysis
The successful candidate will work on the applications of mechanically chiral molecules as enantioselective catalysts. This includes studying and developing methodologies for the synthesis of chiral catenane and rotaxane-based ligands and organocatalysts. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with the Goldup Group and gain expertise in synthetic organic and supramolecular chemistry. The project spans 3.5 years and includes extensive training in analytical techniques, scientific writing, presentation skills, and project design and execution.
