Postdoc in Bone Biology: The University of Southern Denmark is seeking a highly motivated and qualified postdoctoral fellow to join the laboratory of Professor Moustapha Kassem. Eligibility/Qualification:
- Obtained a PhD in a relevant area, e.g., biological and biomedical sciences, or another closely related discipline.
- Proven experience and knowledge of basic bioinformatic tools.
- Proven experience and knowledge about genetically modified mouse models, as well as cell and molecular biology studies.
- Ability to work structured and independently.
- Good communication skills and high proficiency in English.
- Good collaborative and social abilities.
Job Description: The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for conducting research in the field of bone biology, specifically focusing on the role of skeletal stem cells in the regulation of skeletal homeostasis during aging. The tasks include utilizing transcriptomic methods of single cell RNA-seq, bioinformatic tools, genetic mouse models, and pharmacological targeting approaches to explore the role of candidate genes in the formation and function of skeletal stem cells. Responsibilities also encompass project planning, data acquisition, preparation and analysis, manuscript writing, and seeking research funding from external agencies. The position will be based at the Laboratory of Molecular Endocrinology (KMEB), Odense University Hospital.
