Eligibility/Qualification– Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Geodesy or a comparable qualification.
– For postdoctoral positions: Completed doctorate in a relevant subject area.
– Proficiency in programming languages, especially Python.
– Good communication and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively.
– Very good written and spoken English skills.

Job Description:

At the professorship “Big Geospatial Data Management,” the selected candidates will engage in research pertaining to computer science, particularly in hardware, edge computing, AI, and big data as they apply to geodata. The group, which has expanded to ten PhD students since 2020, collaborates on various national and international research projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Acquisition and implementation of interesting research projects within the outlined subject area.
  • Opportunity to pursue doctoral or habilitation qualifications.
  • Participation in supervising university teaching.
  • Engaging in collaborative projects with students and colleagues in various related fields.
