Advanced Control of Unstable Hydrofoil Boats: The School of Engineering Sciences at KTH (Royal Institute of Technology) is seeking a Postdoc for conducting research in the development of advanced control methods for unstable hydrofoil boats. The research will focus on balancing these boats using a new monofoil concept for hydrofoils, with an emphasis on optimizing sensor utilization and implementing creative solutions such as MPC, LQR, and AI for enhanced stabilization performance. The work will involve theoretical modeling, algorithm development, simulator implementation, and full-scale testing at sea.
