Scholarship Description:
Open-Oxford-Cambridge AHRC DTP Collaborative Doctoral Award – Understanding GLAM Experiences through Qualitative Data Methods & Analysis
This Collaborative Doctoral Award focuses on enhancing GLAM institutions’ understanding of qualitative data through digital humanities techniques. The project addresses the challenges of data silos, technical skills gaps, and underutilization of qualitative data. Proposals should explore interventions using computational linguistics and AI tools to elevate the quality and value of language-rich data, making it accessible for institutions with limited data science expertise.
Eligibility: Applicants with backgrounds in linguistics, heritage studies, cultural informatics, archaeology, sociology, or related disciplines are encouraged. A Master’s degree or a first-class degree with a substantial original-source dissertation is preferred. However, exceptional candidates without these qualifications will be considered based on their research capabilities and academic writing skills.
