Eligibility & Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following mandatory minimum criteria:
- Academic Degree / Experience:
- Must hold a PhD (or have successfully passed the PhD defense/viva with no major modifications before the call deadline).
- Maximum of 8 years of research experience after the doctoral degree (PhD) at the call deadline.
- Publications:
- At least one original publication in a peer-reviewed journal (co-authorship accepted).
- MSCA Mobility Rule:
- Researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the host organization’s country for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the call deadline.
- Language Proficiency:
- English proficiency minimum equivalent to CEFR B2 (evidence required; a free 90-minute online EF SET 4-skill test is accepted).
- Domain Knowledge:
- Background and technical competency in the methods relevant to the specific project/position chosen.
Job Description & Responsibilities
- Conduct high-impact, independent, and collaborative research in biological imaging and life sciences.
- Utilize state-of-the-art facilities, laboratories, and advanced instrumentation at host universities and research centers.
- Participate in mandatory secondments to partner organizations or industry collaborators to broaden skills and cross-sectoral experience.
- Formulate and continuously update an Individual Career Development Plan (ICDP) in collaboration with the Principal Investigator (PI).
- Adhere to the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity and ethics compliance standards.
- Present research findings at international conferences, publish in leading peer-reviewed journals, and take part in AMBER educational training programmes.
