Assistant Professor in Biological Sciences: The University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences. The successful candidate will contribute to research, teaching, and mentoring within a diverse academic community.

Candidates are encouraged to establish a new research program in areas relevant to biological sciences including, but not limited to:

• Immunology
• Microbiology and Virology
• Biomolecular Function
• Proteostasis
• Genome Integrity and Epigenome Regulation
• Cancer Research
• Environmental Risks and Adaptation

Location:
University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Charlotte, NC

Eligibility/Qualification:

• Ph.D. in biological sciences or a related field.
• Documented postdoctoral training and peer-reviewed publications.
• A record of teaching and mentoring experience is preferred.

Job Description:
The faculty member will be responsible for the following:

• Teaching and Advising: Design and present courses, direct student research, and engage in curriculum development.
• Research: Conduct scholarly research that advances knowledge, seeks extramural funding, and contributes to the academic discipline.
• Service: Engage in service to the university, public, and profession, including participation in departmental governance.
