Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in a relevant field such as Biochemistry, Molecular Biophysics, Microbiology, or Cell and Molecular Biology.
- Expertise in cryo-electron microscopy techniques and instrumentation.
- Experience in assisting research projects, supporting PhD students, and contributing to postgraduate training programs.
- Strong ability to prepare competitive research grant applications.
- Must have valid work rights in Australia (Visa sponsorship is not available).
Job Description:
- Provide expert advice and support to UOW members of the ARC Training Centre for Cryo-Electron Microscopy of Membrane Proteins for Drug Discovery (CCeMMP), particularly PhD students.
- Offer high-level expertise to assist researchers in their projects.
- Support the daily use and maintenance of cryo-EM instrumentation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of postgraduate training programs.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of competitive research grants.
- Participate actively in committees, outreach programs, and relevant meetings.
