Eligibility/Qualification

  • Applicants must have received a PhD or equivalent degree in astronomy, physics, or a related discipline on or after January 1, 2022, or must expect to receive their degree before September 1, 2026.
  • Candidates from all countries are eligible.
  • Graduate students must provide evidence of completing all degree requirements prior to commencing the fellowship.

Job Description

Brinson Prize Fellows will engage in full-time research related to observational cosmology and must articulate a clear research proposal with a link to either ground or space observational activities. The proposal should demonstrate the potential impact on cosmological inferences. Fellows will also create a science communication plan to engage the public through activities related to their research. The fellowship lasts for up to three years, with annual reviews for renewal based on performance.
