Effective conservation strategies require identifying priority areas for the protection of endangered, rare, or unique species and habitats. The urgency of prioritizing coastal areas for biodiversity conservation cannot be overstated. This project aims to assess the conservation status of coastal plant diversity, prioritize high-value areas, and redefine the network of protected areas using a multidisciplinary approach. It will focus on the coastal dunes and back-dune marshes of Tuscany.
