Eligibility/Qualification
Prospective Postdoctoral Scholars
- Must hold any citizenship, including Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
- Must not have a current affiliation with a Canadian institution.
- Must currently be studying or working abroad.
- Canadian citizens must have previously left Canada for research/work experience.
- Must be able to activate the award in Canada by March 31, 2027.
- Must hold or expect to hold a doctoral or health professional degree before the award start date.
- Cannot hold a tenure-track or tenured faculty position.
- Must align research with designated priority areas.
Faculty Members (Nominators)
- Must hold an active Tri-Agency grant (CIHR, NSERC, or SSHRC) with payments scheduled for the 2025–26 or 2026–27 fiscal years.
- Must be eligible to supervise postdoctoral scholars.
