Center for Genomics Postdoctoral Fellow: The KU Center for Genomics is excited to announce the Center for Genomics Postdoctoral Fellowship program, supporting researchers in genomics. This fellowship offers a competitive salary, benefits, and a research and travel allowance. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to develop their own research program with guidance from Center for Genomics faculty.

Eligibility/Qualification: Who is eligible to apply:

  • Individuals within one year of completing their PhD.
  • Applicants proposing innovative research aligned with genomics.
  • Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging.

All applicants must have completed their PhD by the start of the program. Priority will be given to candidates not currently at KU unless their proposed project is a significant departure from prior work.

Job Description: As a Center for Genomics Postdoctoral Fellow, responsibilities include:

  • Conducting cutting-edge research in genomics with Center-affiliated faculty.
  • Presenting research at conferences and publishing findings.
  • Applying for additional external funding (NIH NRSA, NSF Postdoc, private foundations).
  • Participating in the postdoctoral seminar series.
  • Writing an annual progress report.
  • Assisting in planning the annual symposium.
  • Participating in Center activities.
