CEPH Postdoctoral Researcher: Trinity College Dublin is seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of Research Fellow (Postdoctoral Researcher) in Economic History. The Research Fellow will contribute to the objectives of the CEPH (Colour Landscape) project and undertake a research program for eighteen months starting in September 2024.

Standard Duties and Responsibilities

  • Undertake a personal research project under the direction of Trinity-based PIs.
  • Prepare material for publication in international peer-reviewed journals and presentations at conferences.
  • Collaborate with the CEPH research team on a compendium of economic indicators for Ireland.
  • Present progress reports to disseminate research findings.
  • Contribute to obtaining external funding for CEPH.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in economic history or economics (or obtainable during the application period).

Knowledge & Experience

  • Excellent academic trajectory and methodological training in quantitative economic history or economics research.
  • At least three years of relevant research experience.
  • Exceptional skills in data management.
  • Experience or ability to publish in top international journals (desirable).
