Location: Boston Children’s Hospital, Boston

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • MS in genetics/genomics, biocomputing/bioinformatics, statistics, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of prior technical experience
  • Experience in human genetics/genomics, variant calling, rare diseases, single-cell approaches
  • Programming skills in UNIX, R, and/or Python
  • Familiarity with high-performance and/or cloud computing
  • Evidence of prior publication(s) and conference/oral presentations
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills

Job Description: The Computational Biologist will be responsible for:

  • Designing, troubleshooting, and analyzing diverse genomic discovery efforts using genomic and phenotypic data
  • Leading investigations into personalized genomic diagnosis for children with proteinuric kidney disease
  • Communication with external collaborators and contributions to manuscripts, grants, and presentations
  • Independent decision-making regarding genomic study design, analysis, and statistical approaches
