Eligibility/Qualification:
- MS in genetics/genomics, biocomputing/bioinformatics, statistics, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of prior technical experience
- Experience in human genetics/genomics, variant calling, rare diseases, single-cell approaches
- Programming skills in UNIX, R, and/or Python
- Familiarity with high-performance and/or cloud computing
- Evidence of prior publication(s) and conference/oral presentations
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
Job Description: The Computational Biologist will be responsible for:
- Designing, troubleshooting, and analyzing diverse genomic discovery efforts using genomic and phenotypic data
- Leading investigations into personalized genomic diagnosis for children with proteinuric kidney disease
- Communication with external collaborators and contributions to manuscripts, grants, and presentations
- Independent decision-making regarding genomic study design, analysis, and statistical approaches
