Eligibility/Qualification

  • Applicants must have completed their doctoral degree no more than four years ago.
  • Open to postdoctoral researchers planning to establish an independent research group at a state university or non-university research institution affiliated with one of the major research organizations (Fraunhofer Society, Helmholtz Association, Leibniz Association, or Max Planck Society).

Job Description

  • Establish an independent working group in the STEM fields at the intersection of two or more subject areas.
  • Conduct both basic and application-oriented research related to the CZS focus topics.
  • Foster an interdisciplinary approach, evident in your background, project design, team composition, and institutional embedding.
  • Engage in activities that promote the qualification of staff, application of methodologies, or transfer of results.
