Doctoral and Postdoctoral Researchers: Exciting opportunities are available for Doctoral Researchers and Postdoctoral Researchers in the newly established Systems, Data, Simulation & Energy (SYDSEN) Research Group at the Institute AIFB. SYDSEN focuses on utilizing data for decision support and improving the energy efficiency, reliability, and performance metrics of cyber-physical systems, with a particular emphasis on data-driven modeling and simulation integrated with expert knowledge.

Eligibility/Qualification: For Doctoral Researchers:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
- Strong interest in data-driven approaches.
- Interest in formal methods, modeling, and simulation.
- Commitment to excellence in science and technology at the highest international level.
- Proficient in German or willingness to learn.
- Proficient in English.
For Postdoctoral Researchers:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
- Relevant publications in data-driven approaches.
- Commitment to excellence in science and technology at the highest international level.
- Teaching experience highly desirable.
- Experience in writing project proposals highly desirable.
- Experience in modeling and simulation highly desirable.
- Proficient in German or willingness to learn.
- Proficient in English.
Job Description:
- Research in data-driven modeling and simulation for improving energy efficiency and cyber-physical systems.
- Active participation in coordinating and conducting group courses.
- Involvement in scientific administration.
Entgelt (Compensation): EG 13, subject to meeting technical and personal requirements.
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Duration:
- Doctoral positions: Up to 4 years.
- Postdoctoral positions: Two years with the possibility of extension.
