Job Description: As a member of the ESMP group, you will work under the supervision of Prof. Jan Lagerwall, collaborating closely with the Automation & Robotics Research Group (ARG). The tasks include refining CLCE sheets, adding new shapes, integrating them into sensing setups, and incorporating sensors into soft robotic arms and grippers on UAVs. Your role involves interdisciplinary collaboration, ranging from materials physics and photonics to mechanical, computer, and robotics engineering.
Activities:
- Actively participate in the research project.
- Write manuscripts for international scientific journals.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary research and teaching activities.
- Write a thesis in applied physics with interdisciplinary components.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in physics or materials science/engineering.
- Experience in quantitative research methods and lab work.
- Passion for scientific research.
- Good knowledge of materials physics, continuum mechanics, and related areas.
- Openness to interdisciplinary research and teamwork.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
