Research Area
The primary focus is on developing sustainable solutions in renewable energy through advanced meta-materials and meta-structures tailored for vibration mitigation and improved fatigue life in offshore structures.
Eligibility/Qualification
- Applicants must hold a university degree that qualifies them for doctoral studies.
- A demonstrable interest in structural dynamics, vibration mitigation, and related fields is required.
- Candidates should not have spent more than 12 months in Italy in the last three years.
- Knowledge of relevant modeling techniques, resonant systems, and metamaterials is advantageous.
- Ability and willingness to engage in transnational mobility for research.
Job Description
The selected candidate will:
- Engage in cutting-edge research on the use of WECs and meta-structures.
- Collaborate with a network of academic and industrial partners across Europe.
- Participate in regular meetings and workshops, enhancing both academic and practical skills.
- Work under supervision to complete a PhD thesis while fulfilling training activities of the Met2Adapt project.
