| Degree | Master’s degree in Human Movement Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Physiotherapy, or Medicine (requirements must be fulfilled by appointment date) |
| Interest | Strong interest in the musculoskeletal system |
| Language Skills | Good command of Dutch (required); knowledge of French or other languages is advantageous |
| Research Independence | Ability to independently develop and carry out a research project |
| Experience | Demonstrated promise as a researcher through Master’s thesis research |
| Clinical Interaction | Willingness to participate in clinical data collection with patients undergoing hip surgery |
| Technical Skills | Knowledge or experience in motion analysis, electromyography (EMG), exercise physiology, medical imaging, musculoskeletal modelling, or numerical simulations is advantageous |
Job Description
- Conduct interdisciplinary research on the hip capsule and lower-limb movement.
- Participate in a research team consisting of physicians, engineers, and biomedical scientists.
- Develop new clinical applications in the personalized treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.
- Collect clinical data involving patients undergoing hip surgery.
- Actively engage in fundamental and applied scientific research.
