Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioscience Engineering, Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Strong interest in scientific research and sustainable circular solutions.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with inline or online spectroscopic sensing techniques (NIR, Raman, etc.).
  • Familiarity with chemometric methods (PLS, PCA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of polymer characterization techniques.
  • Basic programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or R.

Job Description:
The doctoral fellow will:

  • Develop and apply sensing methodologies combined with machine learning and chemometric modeling.
  • Collaborate with promotors, colleagues, and industrial partners.
  • Aim for publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences.
  • Drive research leading to a PhD thesis focusing on polymer recycling processes.
