Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Materials Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or a comparable subject area.
- Experience in physical metallurgy and diffraction methods (X-ray/neutron).
- Proficient oral and written skills in English.
Additional Qualifications:
- Completed courses in solid state physics and quantum mechanics.
- Practical experience in magnetic characterization and knowledge of synthesis and analysis methods.
- Knowledge of magnetism, experience with chemical synthesis techniques, structural characterization, and magnetic property measurements.
- Proficiency in programming in Python and experience using LaTeX.
- Experience with sample preparation using arc melting is considered a merit.

Doctoral (PhD) Position in Solid State Physics – Sustainable Magnets Synthesis and Study
The doctoral student will be engaged in the research project, focusing on the development of sustainable methods for materials processing and advanced synthesis of rare-earth-free and rare-earth-lean material combinations for sustainable magnets. Responsibilities include structural characterization using state-of-the-art scattering methods, detailed magnetic characterization using advanced experimental tools, and handling of advanced experimental equipment for synthesis and characterization. The role also involves the development of experimental methods, data analysis, and dissemination of knowledge through scientific articles.
