Eligibility and Qualifications
General Eligibility Requirements
- Awarded a second-cycle/master’s degree, OR
- Completed course requirements comprising at least 240 ECTS credits (with a minimum of 60 ECTS credits at the advanced/master level), OR
- Acquired substantially equivalent knowledge in Sweden or abroad.
Specific Eligibility & Skills
- Academic Background: Must hold a Master’s degree in Biomedicine, Medicine, Immunology, or a closely related discipline by the time the position commences.
- English Proficiency: English language proficiency equivalent to English B/English 6 at the Swedish upper secondary school level.
- Laboratory Experience: Prior experience with human tissue processing, isolation, and culture of primary human immune cells.
- Computational Skills: Experience with single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) analysis and bioinformatic pipelines using R or Python.
- Meritorious Skills: Experience with multidimensional flow cytometric analysis/sorting (>20 parameters) and logistical coordination of clinical/translational datasets.
- Personal Qualities: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, self-motivation, ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary clinical and academic teams, and a willingness to learn Swedish.
Scholarship / Position Description
The doctoral student will be employed on a four-year, full-time doctoral studentship. Key duties and benefits include:
