Eligibility/Qualification
General Eligibility Requirements:
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in cell and molecular biology, neuroscience, biochemistry, biomedicine, neurobiology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in English equivalent to English B/English 6 at Swedish upper secondary school.
Specific Requirements:
- Relevant skills in areas such as:
- Cell culture
- Basic laboratory techniques (western blot, RT-qPCR, flow cytometry, mass spectrometry, microscopy, and immunofluorescence)
- Mouse models and drug administration
Job Description
The doctoral student will be involved in:
- Investigating tau degradation mechanisms.
- Developing small molecules to promote tau degradation.
- Establishing in vitro assays and evaluating compounds in cellular and animal models.
- Participating in research meetings, preparing manuscripts, and possibly supervising junior students.
- Completing formal coursework as required for the doctoral degree.
