Eligibility/Qualification
Required:
- Master’s degree in physics, climate or atmospheric science, chemistry, geosciences, or a related field
- Strong interest in interdisciplinary research on anthropogenic impacts within the Earth system
- Experience in data processing and basic programming skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, as demonstrated through a Master’s thesis or publications
- Excellent English skills
Advantageous:
- Experience with numerical modeling
- Organizational skills for outreach activities
Job Description
- Develop original ideas for a multidisciplinary dissertation project related to microplastics.
- Conduct laboratory-based analysis of environmental samples.
- Process datasets for the Great Acceleration Observatory
- Potential participation in fieldwork for new sample collection
- Apply and further develop numerical models for source attribution and transport dynamics.
- Collaborate with researchers and contribute to departmental outputs, including publications and outreach activities.
