Doctoral Position – Junior Professorship: The Junior Professorship of Quantitative International and Environmental Economics at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU), Germany, is currently accepting applications for a Doctoral Position. This position is part of the DFG project “International Environmental Cooperation: Determinants, Interlinkages, and Impacts” in collaboration with Prof. Mario Larch at the University of Bayreuth. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Excellent master’s degree in economics or a relevant discipline
  • Strong interest in international and environmental economics
  • Solid background in econometrics and quantitative methods
  • Proficient in at least one of the following programs: Stata, R, Matlab, Gams, Python
  • Willingness to contribute as a team member
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Job Description: The successful candidate will be part of the Professorship of Quantitative International and Environmental Economics within the Department of Business Management and Economics. Responsibilities include active participation in research, utilizing econometric and quantitative methods, contributing to departmental activities, and effective collaboration with the project team. The appointment is subject to the Act of Academic Fixed-Term Contracts, providing opportunities for obtaining a Ph.D. and participation in the Bavarian Graduate Program in Economics (BGPE).
