Eligibility/Qualification

  • A successfully completed academic university degree (Master’s, Diplom, or equivalent) in computer science or closely related fields with focus on BIFOLD core areas.
  • Good programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, Scala, C/C++, Rust).
  • For Data Management: experience in big data systems (e.g., Apache Flink, Apache Spark) or database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL).
  • For Machine Learning: knowledge of ML theories, experience with ML algorithms, and familiarity with frameworks (e.g., NumPy, PyTorch).
  • Teaching proficiency in German and/or English; willingness to acquire relevant language skills.

Description

Doctoral candidates at BIFOLD will engage in research projects focusing on current challenges in AI and Data Science. The work will involve developing novel theories, algorithms, and technologies, along with teaching responsibilities.
