Eligibility/Qualification

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Eligibility for postgraduate studies at the University of Eastern Finland.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Demonstrated experience in software development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in designing or implementing educational technologies.
  • Familiarity with React, Typescript, CSS, or TensorFlow.
  • Experience with collaborative coding practices and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Usability or UX-related experience.
  • Work related to Explainable AI (XAI) relevant to education.
  • Finnish language skills.

Job Description

As a Doctoral Researcher, you will:

  • Develop educational technology software.
  • Collect empirical data in real teaching and learning settings.
  • Analyze data using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Report results in journals and at scientific conferences.
  • Participate in project-related tasks, including workshops and meetings.
  • Contribute to your doctoral dissertation and complete postgraduate studies.
