Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Applicants must not possess a PhD degree at the time of recruitment and must not have resided or worked in Spain for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the recruitment date.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant areas of engineering.
  • Proficiency in Matlab, Python, and English.
  • Strong knowledge of wireless communications and digital signal processing is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, willingness to collaborate in a cross-sector and multi-cultural environment, and interest in a research career.

Description: The selected Doctoral Researcher will enroll as a PhD student at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and participate in the MiFuture network’s research and training activities. The research will focus on investigating statistical performance bounds and algorithms for positioning and sensing in cell-free or distributed massive MIMO networks. The position involves collaboration with academic and industrial partners, including a 3-month secondment at Instituto de Telecomunicaçoes in Portugal and 18 months at Ericsson, Sweden.
