Eligibility/Qualification

Candidates should possess:

  • A Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science.
  • Programming expertise in languages such as Python and Matlab, with experience in Linux considered an advantage.
  • Experience in battery research, including electrochemical measurements and characterization techniques (e.g., XRD, EIS, SEM).
  • Familiarity with DFT software like VASP or Quantum Espresso preferred.
  • Proficient written and spoken English; basic IT skills.

Description

The successful candidate will engage in high-quality research to develop a comprehensive understanding of sodium-ion batteries’ degradation mechanisms. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting theoretical and experimental work related to SIB cathodes.
  • Optimizing cathode materials through experimental outputs and DFT modeling.
  • Collaborating with project partners and participating in scientific publications.
