Doctoral Researcher in Evolutionary Genetics: The University of Jyväskylä seeks a doctoral researcher in evolutionary genetics to join a research group exploring the properties of mutations and spontaneous epigenetic changes. The position is for a fixed-term contract of three years, starting in early January 2026 or shortly thereafter.

Description

The successful candidate will contribute to a research project led by Ilkka Kronholm focused on the properties of mutations during adaptation and their effects on life-history and physiological traits. Responsibilities include planning and conducting research, writing manuscripts, and developing a PhD thesis. Teaching opportunities are available.
