Doctoral Researcher in Interdisciplinary Education: Aalto University is offering a unique opportunity for a Doctoral Researcher to engage in pioneering research focused on developing educational practices and partnerships in interdisciplinary education as part of the InnoWAT project. This position is part of the Engineering Education Research Group and seeks to enhance engineering education through innovative methods such as problem-based learning (PBL) and international collaboration.

Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in relevant fields (e.g., education/learning sciences, higher education, engineering/technology education, educational psychology, social or management sciences, engineering fields, interdisciplinary education, or related).
- Strong qualitative research skills with openness to or experience in mixed methods and action research.
- Interest in PBL, interdisciplinary collaboration, sustainability education, and higher education development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work both independently and in diverse teams; experience in education development or multistakeholder collaboration is a plus.
Job Description
The Doctoral Researcher will:
- Conduct research on PBL courses using mixed methods approaches.
- Publish findings in international education journals and create practitioner-oriented materials.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders in the Water and Environmental Engineering Master’s Programme.
- Participate in course implementation, teaching activities, and international collaborations.
- The focus of research and methodology will be jointly determined with the supervisory team.
