Eligibility/Qualification:
- A Master’s degree in biology, mathematics, physics, economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Strong interest in evolutionary biology (for applicants without a biology background).
Job Description:
- Develop theoretical models on the evolution of ageing and life history theory, focusing on the diversity of ageing patterns across the tree of life.
- Investigate why some organisms exhibit negligible ageing and explore sex-specific differences in ageing.
- Utilize methods from evolutionary game theory, adaptive dynamics, population genetics, and optimization theory.
- Participate in research visits with leading groups in the field.
- Attend international conferences to build a scientific network.
- Engage with a supportive and stimulating research environment at the University of Helsinki.
