Doctoral Researcher/PhD Scholarship: The University of Marburg, renowned for its academic excellence since 1527, invites applications for a Doctoral Researcher/PhD position within the Hessian.AI research group on Artificial Intelligence, led by Prof. Dr. Christin Seifert. This scholarship is offered as part of a DFG-funded project focusing on Predictive Modelling for Cochlea Implant Success for Children. Location: University of Marburg, Hesse, Germany

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • MSc degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Expertise and experience in machine learning
  • Strong programming skills, including proficiency in deep learning frameworks
  • Enthusiastic and highly motivated researcher with good team spirit
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German is beneficial

Description: The selected candidate will:

  • Design, implement, train, and evaluate multimodal machine learning models
  • Develop eXplainable AI (XAI) methods to understand and correct model behavior
  • Publish research findings in top-tier academic conferences and journals

This full-time position is offered for a duration of 3 years with salary and benefits commensurate with a public service position in Hesse, Germany (TV-H E 13, 100%). As part of the doctoral degree completion, ample opportunity for independent scientific research will be provided.
