Eligibility/Qualification

  • Eligible for doctoral education (suitable higher university degree or equivalent)
  • Excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Background in geography, ecology, environmental sciences, geoinformatics, or computer science preferred

Description

The PhD candidate will engage in fieldwork and remote sensing studies, focusing on:

  • Collection and analysis of field data
  • Processing remote sensing and UAV data
  • Conducting data analysis using machine and deep learning methods
  • Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team

Candidates should have an interest in Arctic and peatland ecosystems. A driver’s license and a drone license (or drone experience) are advantageous.
