Eligibility/Qualification

  • A master’s degree (or equivalent eligibility for doctoral studies) in electrical engineering or a related discipline completed by August 1, 2025.
  • Experience in power electronics, control theory, embedded programming, or microprocessors.
  • Strong interest in mathematics, optimization, and machine learning.
  • Independent problem-solving abilities and team collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
  • Must be pursuing or accepted to study towards a doctoral degree in computing and electrical engineering.

Description

The Doctoral Researcher will focus on developing optimal control methods for power electronic converters interfacing with hybrid energy storage systems. The research will progress through simulation environments, hardware-in-the-loop simulators, and validation on laboratory prototypes. Responsibilities include contributing to peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and potentially teaching duties (approximately 5%).
