Eligibility/Qualification:
- Candidates must hold a master’s degree or equivalent in ecology, wildlife biology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability and motivation to undertake postgraduate studies and complete a doctoral degree.
- Fluency in English, both written and oral.
- Strong communication skills and initiative.
- Preferred skills include expertise in wildlife ecology, statistical methods, fieldwork, and data analysis.
Description: The doctoral researcher/project researcher will contribute to a research project examining the ecological interactions between large carnivores (Eurasian lynx and grey wolf) and deer populations, particularly white-tailed and roe deer. The project aims to understand how these carnivores influence deer population densities, behavior, and mortality, including the impacts of hunting, traffic, and other factors. The successful candidate will conduct research, participate in teaching-related tasks at UTU, and potentially engage in communication activities.
