Eligibility/Qualification
- A Master’s degree in Geophysics, Hydrogeology, Geological Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field.
- Skills in seismic data processing and numerical modelling.
- Experience with machine learning methods and knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python) is a strong asset.
- A good record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals is an additional advantage.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Applications from underrepresented groups in science and engineering are especially encouraged.
Job Description
The candidate will develop:
- Accurate digital twins of storage tanks for CO2.
- Methodologies for 3D seismic data processing using machine learning.
- Innovative neural network methodologies to simulate CO2 flow in reservoirs.
Key responsibilities include acquiring seismic data, conducting well tests, and building numerical reservoir models to assess the potential and risks of CO2 injection.
