Eligibility/Qualification

- A Master degree in natural sciences, technical sciences, biotechnical sciences, biomedical sciences, and public health
- Wet lab experience with methods applicable in molecular biology and genomics
- Active knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken
- An overall average grade ensuring enrollment to doctoral program
- An advantage will be given to candidates with practical knowledge of at least one programming language (R, Python, Java, C/C++) and databases and bioinformatics, with a special emphasis on genomics, statistical data analysis, and data visualization methods.
Job Description
The doctoral student will work in the field of biotechnology, specifically on the project “CroAGE – Introducing cap analysis of gene expression (CAGE) to the Croatian research system as a scaffold for finding anti-tumour targets.” This project is EU funded and led by Damir Baranašić, PhD, at the Division for Electronics, Laboratory for Machine Learning, and Knowledge Representation.
