Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree at second-cycle level with at least 240 credits (60 credits at second-cycle level)
- Good English language and communication skills (oral and written)

- Knowledge of metallurgy and basic statistical data analysis
- Practical skills in materials characterization
Meritorious Qualifications
- Experience in material characterization techniques (SEM, mechanical testing, etc.)
- Knowledge of thermodynamic simulation software

Description
The doctoral position focuses on developing cast Al alloys that are resilient to impurities from recycled materials, paving the way for 100% recycling in Al castings used in various industries, including automotive. The research encompasses theoretical modeling, microstructural and mechanical characterization, as well as electrochemical testing.
The successful candidate will collaborate with both academic and industrial partners, contributing to innovative strategies for sustainable aluminum alloy design. The position requires commitments including doctoral courses, publishing research findings, and participating in conferences.
