Description

The project aims to develop advanced fracture models for predicting material degradation and failure of additively manufactured steel in critical nuclear reactor environments. It involves the modeling of damage under various loading conditions and includes materials characterization of 3D-printed stainless-steel specimens. The work will combine material modeling with advanced theories and finite element frameworks to explore the interactions between mechanical loading and electrochemical processes. This research is part of a dynamic interdisciplinary environment supported by major institutions in Sweden and industry collaborations.
