EACR-AstraZeneca Postdoctoral Fellowships: The European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) is currently accepting outline proposals for the EACR-AstraZeneca Postdoctoral Fellowships until 24 April 2024. These fellowships, lasting up to three years, aim to support the career development of outstanding EACR members in the early stages of their careers. The program focuses on training the next generation of scientists engaged in innovative research aligned with AstraZeneca’s leadership in core therapeutic areas. Successful projects will contribute to building research collaborations between the EACR, institutions, and AstraZeneca.

Location: Europe (Applicants must be based at a European academic institution for the fellowship’s duration)
Eligibility/Qualification:
- EACR member with a PhD and no more than 8 years postdoctoral experience at the outline proposal submission deadline.
- Active and current work in cancer research (academic, industry, clinician, or physician scientist).
- At least one first (or joint first) author primary research paper published in an international peer-reviewed journal at the time of application.
- Based at a European academic institution for the fellowship’s duration, with the potential for a placement at an AstraZeneca site by mutual agreement.
Job Description: The successful candidate will conduct basic and/or translational research with direct applicability to specified cancer areas. Projects should align with the goals of the program and demonstrate innovation. Measures of success include high-impact publications, satisfaction with the program, and the career development of Fellows. Fellows are expected to engage in continued academic interactions with supervisors and AstraZeneca.
